Hafsa Shorish served as the Director at MIT Enterprise Forum and Plan X - Pakistan’s largest tech accelerator and continues to play her role as an advisor to the project. She is a marketing and PR expert, who is known for building and establishing the Plan9 brand, Pakistan’s first technology incubator program for idea stage startups. She successfully promoted the Plan9 brand amongst academia and industry for two years making a name for herself in the field of tech entrepreneurship, which is primarily considered to be a male dominated domain.
A graduate of Kinnaird College for Women, Hafsa started her career as a trainer working with the British Council and Beaconhouse Educational Services. Having worked with over 100 startups, Hafsa was selected to head PlanX and the MIT Enterprise Forum Pakistan chapter. She brings her experience as a business and policy strategist to lead the diverse acceleration programs. She also has conducted several large scale startup events and has been responsible for executing plenty of initiatives which helps the acceleration programme grow and excel both locally and globally. She is also an active member of the Global Shaper Lahore Hub. She has a panache for building brands, and aims to expedite the evolution of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. An aspiring writer, her works have previously been published in the MIT Tech Review, Tech View Asia, The Nation and Pique Magazine amongst others.
